I never get tired of this

While looking at the video featured in the previous post, I came across this. I do love me some Marine Silent Drill Platoon. This is this year's annual performance in August at Fort Henry, Kingston, Ontario:

There is a reason the other services don't do this. Actually, there are two reasons. First, the Marines' uniforms are much, much better. And, of course, the other services simply cannot compare when it comes to this sort of thing.

When you really, really need help, remember, there is only one place to call

No, it isn't Ghostbusters. If your needs are limited, you might have more options, but when it absolutely, positively must be destroyed overnight, there is only one number to call:

Gotta love it. A reader sent me a link to this, and I approve.

Where's the damn catnip?

Yeah, Mrs. Wolves was reorganizing the pantry and either Murder or Mayhem -- hell, I can't tell from here -- was clearly looking for catnip:

She looked everywhere:

Not much to find, I guess:

But she was determined:

Ultimately, no joy:

The catnip, I believe, was down one shelf. Hey, she could have asked.

I don't believe I've ever seen the market this hot at this time of year

There is a ton, and I mean a metric shit ton, of work out there. I can't even tell you how many projects I've seen advertised in the last two weeks. Easily two dozen. Normally, this is a time of year when work is really hard to come by -- you have a gig end between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the odds usually are pretty fair that you're shit out of luck until after New Year's. As it is, there are projects aplenty, and many with overtime. Very unusual.

Naturally, this probably is only happening because we're been told our project will be lasting past New Year's, and possibly well past, so I don't need work at the moment. I predict that the market will remain hot until the day before this project crashes. Pessimistic? Sure -- but pessimism is what makes you find a new project when you think your current gig will be crashing soon. I think of it as a survival instinct.

Somebody better check their calendar next time

In my journeys through the interwebs today, I am getting a disturbing message. According to Wikipedia, today is "Giving Tuesday." I also am told today is "World AIDS Day." I just don't think we should combine those two. Wouldn't that make today World Giving AIDS Day? Sounds like a bad idea to me.

Just sayin'.

Well, why wouldn't you feel safe with these guys in charge?

So, John Kerry, allegedly our top diplomat, says Al Qaeda is "neutralized." How's that working out?\

In keeping with administration policy, Kerry talked about al-Qaeda being "neutralized" within hours of an al-Qaeda attack in Mali. He takes his talking points from Emperor Barry I, who declared ISIS "contained" mere hours before they killed over 120 people in Paris. Let's face it -- with these guys directing U.S. "smart power" in foreign policy, what could go wrong? Somehow, I don't think their "smart power" involves the same kind of "smart" most of us are used to.

No, really, you can get good deals here

More Cyber Monday stuff from Amazon. By all means, go there. Good deals, money for Wolves, costs you nothing extra. What's not to love?
