And never forget who the victims were

Hint: It wasn't Muslims. And if it was -- or even to the extent the victims included Muslims writ large -- Muslims were victimized by other Muslims. The radical Islamists who launched the 9/11 attack were acting in the name of their faith. If that tarred a lot of "good" Muslims with the same brush, then maybe they should get off their asses and condemn the shitheads who carried out the attacks. I'm thinking that claiming to be the victims of 9/11 isn't going to fly well:

Several times on the radio last week I heard, during news segments, a spokesman for this group claim there were 2 million Muslim victims, mostly as a result of 9/11. In attempting to cut through the intellectual incoherence of the statement, I assumed he meant 2 million Muslims have been killed, mainly in the U.S. military efforts formerly known as the Global War on Terror (a terrible name) but now referred to by the Obama administration as "overseas contingency actions" aimed at halting "man-caused disasters." Makes GWOT look brilliant. In any event, you can't get that number no matter how hard you try, and even if you could, the vast majority of Muslim civilian victims in Afghanistan and Iraq were killed by other Muslims.
