Mrs. Wolves is good at storm clouds, too

Yesterday was pretty cloudy and rainy around here. Mrs. Wolves, naturally, went out an captured images of the gathering storm:

It was a pretty impressive display:

From all kinds of angles:

Pretty cool stuff.

We got hawks here

Mrs. Wolves was out walking dogs or something and spotted some hawks perched in a tree. Truthfully, I never would have noticed:

She got got her camera -- no phone pictures here, all of the photos are taken from the distance apparent in the above photo -- and went to work. One of the hawks flew off quickly:

As you can see in the above photo, though, one hawk remained perched in the tree. When the second hawk took flight, she got some pretty good shots. Like this one:

And this one:

There was enough detail to identify this as a red-shouldered hawk. They are common in this area year-round. We see them and red-tailed hawks pretty often. It is easy to assume that they are red-tailed hawks, also common around here year-round.

She likes trees. What can I say?

After last week's snow event, Mrs. Wolves went out  photographing. She does that. She has a good eye, even if she is a little arty. She likes trees:

Trees with snow are a bonus, I guess.
