OK, now this is what I call standing watch. These kitties are focused on protecting the homestead. Well, maybe no Mischief. Not clear what she's focused on:

But Murder and Mayhem definitely look like Horatius at the bridge.

I feel confident that they will pounce upon any intruder:

I hope they're not our only line of defense.
