Yeah, game food porn

I cannot believe it took me this long to get up the game food porn from LAST Sunday, when we beat the Bengals in overtime. It did, though. I guess I'll get to the game food porn from Thursday night, when we beat the living fuck out of the Bears, later. As it is. Last Sunday, we had, of course, stuffed potato skins:

We also had bacon-cheeseburger macaroni and cheese, which is really, really good:

We also had brown sugar bacon dogs:

Oh, my word, good stuff. Not for your heart, mind you, but mighty tasty. The recipes, of course, can be found by searching the blog. You should. Your stomach, if not your heart, will thank you.

Most triumphant game food post

Yeah, I know I just posted the game food porn from last week, when we beat the shit out of the Giants, but I wanted to be a little more timely with posting the game food porn from yesterday, when we sent the Cowboys down to ignominious defeat in their own stadium. Naturally, the Packers will try to do the same to the Falcons next week, but first, we must review the game food porn that drove the Packers -- or at least some of their fans - to victory this week. We had the tater totchos:

Brown sugar bacon dogs also made the menu:

And we topped it off with bacon cheeseburger macaroni and cheese:

Of course, what we really topped it off with was a last-second field goal to send the top-seeded Cowboys home to cry all off-season long while the Packers advance to the conference championship game. Can't wait to take on the Falcons next week.

Yeah-we-should've-won-that-game food porn

At Atlanta, a team with a potent offense, we went in with pretty much everybody hurt and out of the game -- our top three cornerbacks,  two of our starting receivers, our top two running backs, our best defensive player -- and still we lost by only one point late. Thought we had it, but disappointment awaited.

Not on the game food front, however, Married Into Wolves was there early to watch the Saints bitch-slap the Seahawks. We also caught the end of the Redskins-Bengals game from London. We didn't want to, but the rat bastards went into overtime and pre-empted the first quarter of the Saints game, so we had no choice. Yes, Married Into Wolves' family is from the Big Easy, so she's a Saints fan.

In any event, we did staggered game food, trotting out dishes throughout the day rather than all at once. We started with stuffed tater tots:

Later, we brought out pigs in a blanket:

Naturally, for the main event, we included stuffed potato skins:

And to make the Packers late-game game food more dinner-like, we had bacon cheeseburger macaroni and cheese:

Yummy, even if the Packers result was not.

Game food porn, bitches!

Not my kind of game -- I like blowouts, because I can relax -- but the Packers won, so I am happy. The Vikings are going to be a formidable opponent in the future, but for now, we remain triumphant. (I own two shares and am allowed to use "we" when discussing the Packers. I'm an owner, dammit.) Also happy with the game food, which was simple but good. Naturally, we had the stuffed potato skins:

We also did brown sugar bacon-wrapped dogs:

Finally, we threw in the bacon cheeseburger macaroni and cheese:

Contemplated other things, but went with these. I will put up a short food poll later tonight for Thanksgiving Day game food porn. That means, of course, we will have a double dose of food porn Thursday -- game food and Thanksgiving food porn. Couple new recipes on tap for the Thanksgiving food porn this year, so it should be interesting. Stay tuned for the poll!

Chapter whatever, in which I deliver on the promised home-opener game-food porn

Sometimes I'm late, but I deliver. A thrilling, comeback victory by the Packers yesterday. First quarter sucked, but by the end of the first half I knew we had those suckers. Always good to win the home opener. With a 4:30 game, the game food had to be kind of dinnerish, leading to the following menu:

We started off, naturally, with stuffed potato skins, the one constant of game food porn:

And its not dinner with no vegetable, so we also had a veggie tray:

As the game progressed toward dinner time, I brought out more items. For the main course, brats:

Yes, I boil them in beer before I grill them. You mean you don't? Then I brought out the cheeseburger macaroni and cheese, a favorite of Marrying Into Wolves:

Throw in some wings for the starving masses:

And top it off with roasted corn:

All in all, a pretty good feast. I was pleased, and I heard no complaints. That might be because I was screaming too loud to hear any complaints during this play.

Thanksgiving game food porn

We will try not to speak of the alleged football game that occurred yesterday afternoon in Detroit. it was a disaster. Fortunately, the game food was not. It came in four parts, one of which was added late when Nephew to Wolves finally arrived and I made some wings, which I did not photograph. However, I did snap the skins:

We also had the bacon cheeseburger macaroni and cheese, the recipe for which is featured here

We also had butternut squash soup, for which I have not yet put up the recipe:

Like I said, we did wings, but you've seen wings. I haven't put up the recipe yet, but I will. In the meantime, you can look here if you need to see pictures of wings.
