Thank God for Canadian wildfires

I read recently that smoke in the upper atmosphere (probably actually the lower troposphere, but let's not get technical) from Canadian wildfires is making for really spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Mrs. Wolves caught a good one on a recent, non-thunderstormy evening:

Coincidentally, it was the last play my mother, a high school drama teacher, directed before she died. I designed and directed building of the set. Still love that musical.

Mrs. Wolves digs sunsets

I mean, who doesn't, right? But she really digs sunsets. And she takes pictures of them. A lot. Not as much as she takes pictures of the kit-tays, but a lot. And she gets great pictures of some pretty good sunsets. Like this one:
