Well, I did what I could

Only voted once, despite what appears to be Maryland policy:

Get out there and vote to turn back the forces of evil

I did. Of course, Chris Van Hollen isn't going to lose his House race in Maryland unless he's been dead for several election cycles, so I'm stuck with that particular piece of evil. Turns out that outgoing Gov. Martin O'Malley's tax-everything-twice approach isn't helping his lieutenant governor in his bid to take over from his old boss, so maybe Republicans can steal that office this time around. Unlikely, but possible. Anyway, go vote.

Vote in the game food poll!

The Packers are the Monday night game for week 9 (this coming weekend) so the game food poll is for week 10. That gives you lots of time to vote, so vote early and often. I'm hard at work searching for new game food recipes for the second half of the season, so look forward to those. In the meantime, vote!

Don't forget to cast your game food porn vote

Still a few days to help decide what the game food porn will be next week. Nachos had a strong lead, bu the meatballs have surged into a tie. Note that a search for "game food porn" on Eff You will give you posts on all the food porn selections if you are having trouble deciding. Whatever you guys vote for, I will prepare and post the step-by-step instructions for that week's game food porn. Vote early and often. No photo ID required.

BTW, exercise your right to vote

Only nine days left to vote in the poll on whether there should be off-season food porn. So far it looks like the answer is "yes," but I would like to see more votes. This is a lot of work, kids. On the other hand, just test-drove a recipe for orange chicken that went over well with Wolves-affiliated individuals. No photos -- need to see the vote totals first. Cast your ballot!
