UCLA student government council acts rationally; liberal idiot council member loses her shit

There are a couple things to remember when looking at stories coming out of university student government councils. 1) Student governments are generally extremely liberal, especially at California state schools; b) college students increasingly don't know their ass from a hole in the ground because the unionized public schools they went to were far more concerned with teacher pay and benefits than with actually educating anyone and teaching them to think; and iii) no vote these councils ever take has any impact on the university system's decisions with respect to that particular subject matter.

In this particular instance, student government at UCLA was voting on whether the UC system should divest itself of Israeli-related stocks. Never mind that the UC system will, as noted above not base investment decisions on what some pimply kids not yet old enough to drink want, the difficulty in managing something like that as an investment strategy is unbelievable. Further, it makes no sense to shut down good investment options just because of the opinions of said pimply can't-drink-legally-yet shitheads.

Having said all that, the schadenfreude is off the charts when I see some student council libtard go apeshit like this when reason prevails:
After a meeting that lasted until dawn Wednesday, the UCLA undergraduate student government voted against a measure that would have urged the UC system to sell off stocks of companies that do business with the Israeli military and profit from Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories.
Go to the video at the link -- really, you have to, and it is worth it just to hear the total breakdown of reason -- and you will know what Arnie meant in Conan the Barbarian when he spoke of "the lamentations of their women." Speaking of which:
