I'm sorry, but it would appear that the president is just a douchebag. President Dickwad drew international criticism by chomping on chewing gum throughout the D-Day observance at Normandy, France, today. The president of the United States, apparently possessed of the self-discipline of your average high-schooler, managed to embarass himself and his country (granted, not for the first time) simultaneously:

President Obama was caught on camera chewing gum during the D-Day ceremonies in France as Queen Elizabeth II was welcomed, andTwitter feeds worldwide exploded with criticism.
“Obama and his chewing-gum. Classy” one French user tweeted sarcastically.
“Not very elegant, the Obama attitude in the middle of the ceremony,”another user said, while yet another added, “Is there anyone who will ask Barack Obama to stop chewing on his gum like a cowboy?”
The words “shameful” and “vulgar” were thrown around associal media networks lit up with outrage at Mr. Obama’s display.

Apparently, Barry's social faux pas did not go unnoticed:

Obama was caught on camera chewing gum while clapping during the welcome for Her Majesty the Queen. He kept chewing throughout the ceremonies, also managing to anger France. French twitter blew up (not to mention British and American reaction):
